Comments: It’s barely mid-December and we’ve got wonderful snow on the Gunflint Trail! Of our 70km of ski trails, we have approximately 55km groomed and tracked. Trails will continue to be groomed as needed until the holidays and throughout the winter season. It’s safe to say, for us on the Central Gunflint Ski Trail System, our winter ski season has begun! Come up and enjoy some great early skiing conditions! Good skis are safe to use on the majority of trails; rock skies are recommended on a section of north-south link and west end logging camp.
Trails groomed after last snowfall, Dec 10, 2019: Summer Home Road, Campground Loop, Ox Cart, Beaver Dam, North South Link (packed-only north of SHR), Ridge Run, Moose Pasture, Logging Camp, Wolf Point, Red Pines, Cross Fox, and Deer Mouse.
See you on the trails!
Note: Grooming frequently occurs between the release of weekly trail reports. Expect trail grooming after every significant snowfall. For the most up to date grooming information, as well specific trail conditions, please contact Golden Eagle Lodge (1-800-346-2203) or Bearskin Lodge (1-800-338-4170).
