Comments:  We received over 5 inches of new snow since Tuesday night. All ski trails were groomed fresh again this morning (Thurs). Conditions are awesome right now; the weather is mighty comfortable too with outside temps looking to be in the 20’s all weekend. Due to the amount of new snow (15 inches in the last seven days), it is no surprise that the lakes have generated some slush. Lake crossings and the North-South Link trail will continue to be groomed via snowmobile until things solid back up. North-South link will be groomed with a skate lane only during this time.

Only other item of mention:  West End Logging Camp is a notoriously rocky trail and there are still a few rocks poking through on that section. B-Skis are recommended on that trail yet.

The other ski trails are amazing right now! Get out there and enjoy some fantastic skiing!

Note:  Grooming frequently occurs between the release of new trail reports. Expect trail grooming after every significant snowfall. For the most up to date grooming information, as well specific trail conditions, please contact Bearskin Lodge (218-388-2292) or Golden Eagle Lodge (218-388-2203). Central Gunflint Ski Pass Required.
